("SocialGigs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with SocialGigs, including our website, creator applications, browser extension, creator dashboard, payout systems, referral systems, support channels, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect:
- when you visit our website,
- apply to become a creator,
- create or use an account,
- connect LinkedIn or use the extension,
- participate in gigs,
- receive payouts,
- refer other creators,
- contact support,
- or otherwise interact with the Services.
It does not govern the practices of LinkedIn or other third-party services, which are subject to their own privacy notices.
2. Personal Information We Collect
A. Information you provide directly
We may collect:
- name, email address, phone number, country, and contact details;
- username, profile URL, creator application information, and profile descriptions;
- profile strength or eligibility inputs you provide;
- support messages, feedback, survey responses, and communications;
- payout details such as bank information, Wise/PayPal identifiers, UPI details, or other payment method data;
- tax information and documentation where required;
- identity verification information, including government-issued ID or verification materials, either directly or through service providers;
- referral information you provide.
B. LinkedIn and account-related information
When you connect or use LinkedIn-related features, we may collect or process:
- your LinkedIn profile URL and public profile information;
- profile characteristics, account age signals, activity indicators, connection range, completeness, and eligibility-related signals;
- content or metadata needed to administer gigs;
- task execution data, timestamps, status changes, and interaction records;
- session-related, browser-related, and technical data necessary to operate enabled extension or cloud-assisted features.
SocialGigs does not require you to type your LinkedIn password into SocialGigs to create an account. However, depending on the feature, we may process session, browser, or authentication-adjacent technical information necessary for enabled functionality.
C. Extension, device, and technical information
We may automatically collect:
- IP address,
- browser type and version,
- operating system,
- device identifiers,
- extension version and health data,
- logs, crash reports, diagnostics, and performance data,
- cookie IDs, local storage identifiers, and similar identifiers,
- security and fraud-prevention signals.
D. Activity, gig, and compliance information
We may collect:
- gig participation history,
- task status and completion records,
- action logs,
- ledger entries,
- pending/approved/reversed payout data,
- review outcomes,
- referral performance,
- trust and safety flags,
- fraud and compliance indicators,
- and information relevant to reversals, disputes, or enforcement.
E. Information from third parties
We may receive personal information from:
- LinkedIn or other connected services,
- analytics providers,
- payout and payment providers,
- identity verification and sanctions screening vendors,
- fraud prevention vendors,
- advertising or attribution partners,
- referral sources,
- and publicly available sources.

- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- process creator applications and determine eligibility;
- match creators to gigs and administer campaign access;
- execute or assist with approved extension-based or cloud-assisted workflows;
- track task completion, ledger entries, and payout eligibility;
- verify identity, tax status, sanctions status, and payout eligibility;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, and policy violations;
- communicate with you about your account, gigs, payouts, referrals, support, updates, and security matters;
- personalize user experience and product flows;
- analyze trends, usage, quality, and platform performance;
- enforce our Terms, policies, and contractual rights;
- comply with legal obligations and lawful requests;
- protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of SocialGigs, our users, clients, partners, and the public.
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, SocialGigs acts as a data controller with respect to creator account data and platform usage data, and may act as a data processor when processing data on behalf of clients or partners.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a lawful basis for processing, we generally rely on:
- contract: where processing is necessary to provide the Services to you;
- legitimate interests: such as operating, securing, improving, and enforcing the Services;
- consent: where required by law, such as for certain marketing or cookie activities;
- legal obligation: where we must comply with tax, compliance, sanctions, identity, consumer protection, or other legal requirements.

We may use automated systems, rules, scoring, or models to help assess:
- application eligibility,
- profile fit,
- gig routing,

- duplicate account signals,
- extension health,
- and trust/safety outcomes.
These systems may contribute to decisions about approval, access, payout holds, referral validity, or risk review. Where required by law, you may request human review of certain decisions by contacting privacy@socialgigs.ai.

A. Service providers
Vendors that help us operate the Services, including providers of:
- hosting,

- customer support,
- infrastructure,

B. Clients, campaign partners, or business customers
Where necessary to provide the Services, we may share limited information with clients or partners that sponsor or verify gig activity, such as:
- creator ID or pseudonymous identifier,
- task status,
- task timestamps,
- completion or validation information,
- public profile metadata,
- and information necessary to confirm campaign delivery, compliance, or disputes.
C. Payment, payout, and compliance partners
We may share information with banks, payout providers, KYC vendors, tax processors, and compliance vendors to verify identity and process payouts.
D. Professional advisors and corporate transactions
We may disclose information to lawyers, auditors, insurers, financiers, and acquirers or counterparties in connection with financing, due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, reorganizations, or insolvency events.

- enforce our Terms or policies;

Where allowed by law, we may also send marketing communications. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting privacy@socialgigs.ai. You cannot opt out of essential service or legal notices while you continue using the Services.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the Services,
- maintain creator accounts and histories,
- administer payouts and referrals,
- detect fraud and reversals,
- comply with tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations,
- resolve disputes,
- and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods vary depending on the data type, your relationship with us, legal requirements, and operational risk. We may retain certain information after account closure where necessary for compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping.
In general:
- account and transaction data may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and compliance purposes;
- fraud, risk, and enforcement-related data may be retained longer where necessary;
- marketing and analytics data may be retained for shorter periods based on operational needs.
10. International Data Transfers
We may process and store personal information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Those countries may not provide the same level of legal protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required by law, we will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Where required by applicable law, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms to safeguard personal information transferred across jurisdictions.

SocialGigs does not sell personal information for money. However, certain analytics, advertising, or attribution technologies could be treated as "sharing" or similar terms under some state laws. Where required, we will provide relevant opt-out mechanisms.
We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with law, or protect the platform.
14. Public and Platform-Visible Information
Some information related to your profile or gig activity may already be public or visible on LinkedIn or other third-party platforms depending on your settings and activity there.
SocialGigs is not responsible for how third parties collect, display, or reuse information you make public on those platforms.
15. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit use by anyone under 18 or the age of majority where applicable.
If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@socialgigs.ai and we will take appropriate steps.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice for material changes.
